Light Waves - Dedication to Buddy Mecca : Since the last water and DVD experiment, I decided to try some more creative waves. I really like creating the different bends and such.
Makes me wish I bought an LD (laser disc) when I worked at WEA Mfg. (Manufactured Albums, Cassettes, CDs, DVDs, LDs, and VHS for North America).

I dedicate this album to a dear friend Charles "Buddy" Mecca who recently passed away this year (Feb 2007). We kept in loose contact over the years since we moved away. I only found out about his passing while searching for his son's nickname wanting to wish them a Merry Christmas.

The world lost not only one of the most talented drummers in Pennsylvania, but also one of the smartest physicists. I remember his joy when he received this particular patent, which was one of many in the optical field, about the existence of negative light. He proved that light waves do not zero out, but remain active. This was very crucial because it rewrote how CD's work. :) That's the best I could explain it, but if you are interested, read more under "Interference of converging spherical waves". I hope all his Big Bang theories are answered.

He taught me how CD's are created, how they work, what they look like under a microscope. He also got me interested in digging into Internet, Mosiac now Netscape, and turned me into a Linux advocate back in 1994. He introduced me to Sun systems and the different analyzers he invented to help mass produce CD's. Even walking through the initial stages during the birth of the DVD in Olyphant, PA. I truly miss his great character and his great sense of humor.

He was a great friend and he will be truly missed.
