A friend of ours from Fotki.com who lives in P.E.I. Canada experienced a snowless winter storm with very high winds and rain. The effect was that the red soil of P.E.I. washed up on every surface. Her windows were completely spattered with thick red mud and she captured it with her camera. Various effects were created using the original photo with Diane's permission.
