The Bear Must Die

Enough is enough! During the weeks leading up to the 2006 holiday season, an ad for this stupid talking bear was on at least 30 to 40 times a day! I got so fed up with it that I created this image. Barb wanted to buy me the toy so I could destroy it for real. hehe
W - a tribute :)
GNUcash logo

This logo I created came very close to being adopted as GNU cash's official logo (LINUX).
MIRC Official Logo.

Anyone who has ever used MIRC will recognize this logo I created instantly. It was officially adopted by Khaled as MIRC's logo in 1996.

HarePus

We took a photo of a hare at Martinique Beach. The hare was in a tree! They are much larger than a rabbit - about 2 ft. long. Their hop span is incredible - 3 to 4 ft.

This edit is a photo submission to an UNofficial Fotki Logo contest hosted by a member - drib. Fotki wanted members to submit photos or drawings of their chosen "rabbit" theme's logo. One official submission was a drawing of an actopus called FotkiPus by drib. A lot of members really liked the entry and adjusted photos from within their own websites to include the Fotkipus's "crown". This was our submission to drib's faux contest :)
RCMP Corporal Flapjack, Jr - Click on "Original" size for animation.

Animation: a little beaver who appears to be ducking in and out of the trees. Suddenly, he spots you and wants to say hi :)

Animation created using two photos - a beaver borrowed from the The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Foundation website , and a part of a photo we took. I made a layer where I outlined the trees and bush only. I removed certain areas to make the openings in the forest so parts of the beaver can be shown. I cutout the beaver from the RCMP image and made three layers. Large beaver for the final pose, medium size beaver for the middle pose adjusting its perspective and making him appear to be standing sidewards. The third layer was a small beaver for the back pose. I just duplicated it, flipped it, and scaled it.

In each frame the beaver was repositioned for the next pose and pasted to a new layer. Photoshop doesn't have anything built in to achieve this, so you need a 3rd party application - ImageMagick (open source) to join all the frames and animate them. Gimp has basic animation tools built in which requires you to just "save as" GIF format. The RCMP foundation's website has wonderful gift-giving ideas on their site if you want to check it out.
